Abby Boom (born October 24, 1997) is a New Zealand-Lebanese internet personality, pub manager[2] and a former cast member of Yeah Mad, appearing in over 30 videos from March 2023 - March 2024. She is currently based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
Early Life[]
Abby was born on October 24, 1997 to New Zealand and Lebanese parents and also has a sister who lives in Melbourne. She has a black Labrador named 'Chip', who she describes as her "soul-dog." Chip frequently appears in all of Abby's content on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube shorts and especially on her subscriber-exclusive Instagram content.
Abby is also an avid reader and has been from a very young age, stating that she really enjoys reading as one of her hobbies. She started a book club approximately around when she was in Year One or when she was 7 years old. Abby's book club initially read Dr. Seuss books and was active for "a while" until it ended with its last book "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult. Abby also cites 'The Chronicles of Narnia' as her favorite novel series, stating that she was obsessed with them. She even asked her parents to "make her Narnia" when their house was undergoing renovations. Abby's parents took a wardrobe she had and created a crawl space with a door flush with the wall, concealed behind all her clothes. Upon crawling into the space, a secret room would be revealed, complete with a floor and a desk.
Career[]
Abby joined Yeah Mad after being approached by Ben, along with Matt and Sam, for a one-day shoot. Ben had reached out to all three of them through his former next door neighbor, Rachel. At first, Abby believed that the content wouldn't go viral and that maybe only a few people would see the videos she shot with Ben.
When not shooting videos, Abby's main job is being a manager at a pub in Sydney, where she handles many different tasks. One task that Abby showcases on her socials is her changing and storing kegs in the pub's cellar. Her other responsibilities include re-programming the sound booth for events, handling ordering and inventory and changing post-mix syrup in the cellar. [3]
Departure from Yeah Mad[]
Around April of 2024, Abby released a statement on her Instagram page citing that she had left Yeah Mad and that something new was coming soon. In her bio, she no longer has anything related to Yeah Mad. She now does live streams on Instagram and releases exclusive content to users who have subscribed to her page.
